Residents of TOS Estate in Ikorodu have called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to stop what they describe as illegal demolitions of their homes, allegedly orchestrated by certain Ibeshe GRA II residents in collusion with LASBCA officials.
Residents of the TOS Estate recently revealed a dispute involving their neighbors in the Ibeshe GRA II scheme. Due to proximity, TOS Estate residents sought to join the Ibeshe GRA II Community Development Association (CDA) to foster security and peaceful coexistence. Initially, their request was denied, as the TOS Estate was not officially part of the GRA II scheme. However, after several attempts, they were eventually allowed to join.
Shortly after joining the CDA, TOS Estate residents alleged that GRA II residents, along with certain LASBCA officials, began claiming that the GRA II boundary extended to cover land within the TOS Estate. This land, they claim, had long been acquired and designated for specific individuals.
Represented by their solicitor, Ezekiel Ogbaide & Co, the residents allege in a petition that, despite a pending lawsuit and a court order preserving their right to stay, LASBCA officials and GRA II residents have harassed them and demolished houses on two occasions, most recently on October 10, 2024. They also alleged that two children of a TOS Estate resident were detained on fabricated charges
