Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday hosted high-profile delegations from American media company CNN, the UK’s foreign office and the International Financial Centre.
Governor Sanwo-Olu has been vocal on his intention to transform Lagos into a global brand and these official visits can be interpreted as part of his efforts to fulfill that pledge.
Separately, the Governor received the executive vice president of CNN International (Commercial), Mr. Phil Nelson, and delegates from the UK foreign office led by the director of international development, Anna Rogers and members of the Lagos International Financial Centre (LIFC), led by Mr Aig-Imoukhuede.
“Our discussion focused on potential collaborations to showcase Lagos on the global stage, particularly in tourism, infrastructure development, and the overall growth of the city,” the Governor said after his meeting with Mr. Nelson.
