The Lagos state government said it will kick off a sensitisation campaign on its social protection programmes on Tuesday.
Why it matters: The state government has been working to harmonise its social protection programmes since 2013, but it remains unclear how effective this effort has been. Meanwhile, the government said it has captured 2.6 million names in its single social register.
Go deeper: The campaign will kick off at the Ikeja Division and is designed to bring the Social Protection Policy framework closer to the people, a government statement said.
Quote: “The SP IBILE Campaign Tour will kick off tomorrow at the Ojodu LCDA Council Hall, Oke-Ira, Ogba under the Ikeja Division before it subsequently moves to other four divisions in the coming days,” the statement said.
