Infrastructure launch: Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu inaugurated a network of roads in Ikoyi on Tuesday. The newly upgraded roads include Oyinkan Abayomi, Femi Okunnu, Macpherson, Ilabere, Ilu, Inupa, and Kuramo.
Civil unrest: Members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) and the police clashed at Taiwo Ago Palace in Okota on Tuesday, Sahara Reporters reported.
Defamation suit: Police officers were spotted at the Afe Babalola Chambers in Magodo amid a planned demonstration over the prosecution of human rights activist, Dele Farotimi.
Dirt bags: Media personality Charles Anazodo shared a video showing heaps of refuse at the underbridge in Ajah. “This is under the bridge in Ajah,” he said. “Been this way for over a year now. Yet its local government exists.”
Real estate: Governor Sanwo-Olu attended the 5th Lagos Real Estate Marketplace Conference and Exhibitions and said his administration is “committed to establishing sustainable regulations that protect both practitioners and consumers.”
History makers: The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has graduated its first set of students from its School of Anaesthetic Technology. “You are the pioneers of this institution at LASUTH, and your place in history is assured,” LASUTH’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, told the graduates.
More tutors: The state’s Education District VI, headquartered in Oshodi, has inducted 155 new teachers, as part of efforts to enhance the quality of education in the district.
Missing identity: Isolo General Hospital has asked Lagos residents to assist in identifying two patients in its Accident and Emergency ward. They were brought to the hospital unconscious by the state ambulance service and a good Samaritan.
Wheels of justice: The Federal High Court in Lagos granted a suspected drug lord, Sulaimon Jimoh Olowoidiogede, bail to the tune of N100m with three sureties in like sum, Punch Newspaper reported.
Tragic Tuesday: A yet-to-be-identified motorboy died and seven others sustained varying degrees of injuries in two accidents at the Saapade and the Mowe sections of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday, Punch Newspaper reported.
