The Lagos State Government has extended its free hypertension and diabetes screening campaign, “Know Your Numbers, Control Your Numbers,” until November 17 to encourage wider participation.
Initially set to end on November 3, the extension was announced by Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, who urged Lagosians to take advantage of the over 330 screening sites, including 30 General Hospitals and 300 Primary Health Centres across the state. “By extending this campaign, we are encouraging more residents to know their numbers and take control of their health,” Abayomi said.
The campaign will maintain screening services at more than 330 designated locations across the state, including 30 General Hospitals and 300 Primary Health Centres. Screenings will be available daily from 9 a.m. at these General Hospitals and Health Centres within all Local Government Areas in Lagos. The sites have been strategically positioned to ensure accessibility for all residents, no matter their location, aiming to maximize public participation and reach.
