The National Emergency Management Authority has urged Lagos residents to be cautious and use alternative routes due to flooding in certain areas of the state caused by a high volume of rainfall on Tuesday morning.
The Lagos Coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, made this announcement on Tuesday.
“NEMA, LASEMA Fire Service, Police and other Stakeholders are working to get people out of High risk areas,” the statement partly read.
Reports indicate flooding in areas such as Yaba, Command area in Alimosho Local Government Area, and Abattoir area in Agege, leaving commuters stranded.
