Heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding in Ejigbo, disrupting daily life and raising concerns about drainage infrastructure.
According to a report by the Guardian, blocked by plastic bags, styrofoam, and household waste, the drainage system was unable to manage the rising water levels, leading to widespread flooding across the area.
“They keep promising to fix the drainage, but nothing has changed,” a frustrated resident shared.
“The gutters are filled with rubbish, and when it rains, the water has nowhere to go.”
Residents are calling on local authorities to improve waste management and repair the drainage system to prevent further flooding in the community.
