An unidentified factory in Ladipo Oluwole Street, Ikeja, Lagos, on Wednesday was gutted by fire, destroying goods worth millions of naira.
The Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Magaret Adeseyeconfirmed the fire outbreak on Thursday in a statement, sharing that a distress call was made at 8:41 pm on Wednesday.
Adeseye disclosed that the blaze left substantial damage to body sprays, perfumes, and creams and other goods were partially damaged.
“It is still being salvaged with dampening down of embers from the remains of salvaged goods as the operations moved to recovery stage to allow for a mop-up of the premises,” she said.
She also said that no casualty was recorded in the cause of the incident.

The news, derived from facebook posts by the Lagos State Government, highlights the development aims at safeguarding lives and properties of the people from fire and other related disasters.
