The Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has sentenced the managing director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Femi Olaleye to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece when she was 16-years old.

Judge Rahman Oshodi in Ikeja delivered this verdict on Tuesday after convicting Olaleye on a two-count charge of defilement of a child and sexual assault by penetration.

The judge’s verdict was that the defendant would serve life imprisonment for both counts.

Media reports revealed that Olaleye was arraigned by the Lagos state government in November 2022 but pleaded not guilty for the charges.

During the trial, Aderemi, the estranged wife of Olaleye, had told the court that his husband drugged her before raping her niece, adding that he introduced the underage victim to pornography and oral sex.
