Discover the unique charm of 12 Inch Baguette in Ikeja GRA

Set in a rustic outdoor space, 12 Inch Baguette offers a distinct and memorable dining experience with its innovative approach to casual eating. The restaurant features food truck kitchens that contribute to a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

The highlight of the menu is the customizable 12-inch baguette, allowing patrons to build their perfect sandwich from a range of fresh and diverse fillings. Options include savory choices like chicken breast and minced beef, as well as a vegan alternative with tofu, carrots, and apples.

If you are looking to try something new around Ikeja GRA, you might want to try 12 inch baguette.

If you agree or disagree with our ratings and would like to provide your own review, head over to our review form, leave your review for all 13 criteria and an Ikeja Record editor will be in touch. To maintain the integrity of our evaluation system, we do not accept or publish reviews from persons directly associated with the restaurants they are reviewing, including (but not limited to) owners, investors, and staff.

Menu Variety

The diverse menu at 12 Inch Baguette allows you to build your own baguette with numerous filling options. You can choose between an ordinary baguette or a wheat baguette, which must be preordered. Filling options include chicken breast, minced beef, shrimps, and a vegan option with tofu, carrots, and apples.

In addition to baguettes, the menu also features tacos, pizza, salads, toasties, and cheese melts. This variety ensures there is something for everyone, catering to different tastes and dietary needs.

Food Quality

We ordered a 12-inch baguette, which we built with chicken, corn, BBQ sauce, and chicken sausage. The baguette was fresh and savory, though it arrived cold. Despite this, it was filling and tasty.

We also tried the Danbunama minced beef tacos, which featured three medium hard taco shells filled with BBQ lean minced beef, Danbunama, lettuce, caramelized onions, and BBQ sauce with sweet chili. The tacos came out steaming hot and fresh, with a distinct taste, texture, and aroma. However, we found the flavor combination less to our liking and not quite to our taste.

Our meals were presented in a wooden basket and served in paper boxes, adding a rustic touch to the experience. For drinks, we ordered a Chapman, which was very tasty.

Service

The staff were friendly, helpful, and very courteous. They provided efficient and professional service, contributing positively to our overall dining experience.

Ambience

12 Inch Baguette is set in a beautiful rustic space with a relaxed and earthy vibe. The restaurant features a small seating area with wooden tables and chairs, giving it a resort-like feel. The space is outdoors, and the kitchens are housed in food trucks. The overall atmosphere is inviting and tranquil, perfect for a leisurely dining experience.

Value for Money

Our bill totaled N13,700 for a baguette, tacos, and two Chapman drinks. The chicken breast filling was priced at N7,000, while the lowest-priced filling, the vegan option, was N6,500. Given the quality of the food, the freshness, and the overall dining experience, the prices are considered worth the value.

Hygiene Standards

The restaurant space is very tidy, with a staff member stationed nearby to clean the tables after each customer. The restrooms are also well-maintained and clean, contributing to a positive hygienic standard.

Location

The restaurant does not have a designated parking spot, and its location can be challenging to find as it is situated inside a close. However, it is easily accessible for wheelchairs, making it convenient for all guests. You can find  12 Inch Baguette at 40b Oba Dosumu Close, Ikeja GRA.

Consistency

As this was our first visit, we cannot comment on the long-term reliability and consistency of the food and service. However, it was evident from the delivery riders who came to pick up orders that there is a structured approach to handling orders, which suggests a focus on maintaining quality.

Innovation

The restaurant shows creativity in its menu offerings, such as the customizable 12-inch baguette and diverse filling options. The use of food trucks as kitchens add a unique touch to the dining experience. The presentation in wooden baskets and paper boxes further enhances the innovative, rustic charm of the restaurant.

Sustainability

The restaurant uses paper boxes for takeaway, reflecting a commitment to environmentally friendly practices. Specific details about ingredient sourcing and waste management are not provided, but the choice of paper-based packaging suggests a focus on reducing environmental impact.

Waiting Time

It took about five minutes for the baguette to arrive and another five minutes for the tacos, making the total waiting time approximately ten minutes.

Online Presence and Ease of Reservations

The restaurant has an excellent online presence. Their website is user-friendly, allowing for easy ordering. Additionally, you can place an order through one of their many contact numbers provided on social media. This efficient online and social media engagement streamlines the reservation and ordering process.

Special Features

The restaurant’s unique selling points include its rustic, outdoor setting with food trucks as kitchens, which adds a distinctive charm to the dining experience. The use of paper-based packaging and a focus on creative menu options, like customizable baguettes and diverse fillings, further enhance its appeal. While there are no live music or themed dining experiences, the innovative approach to food and presentation sets it apart.
