In a move to bolster support for Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, the Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Home Affairs, has initiated a food support scheme for workers.
This was disclosed in a statement issued via the Lagos State government official X page on Monday, stating that the distribution spans across various State Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
“The gesture is designed to ensure that Muslim employees within the state’s public service have access to necessary sustenance as they observe this important period of fasting and reflection.
“By providing these food packs, the Lagos State Government reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity and support for the religious practices of its diverse population, fostering a spirit of mutual respect among its workforce,” the tweet read.
