Ojodu LCDA announces digital skills acquisition programme for residents

The Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) led by the executive chairman, David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has announced a digital skill acquisition programme for residents.

The programme is titled ‘Technology Development Initiative’ and is expected to run for three months, according to a post published via Mr Odunmbaku’s Instagram page on May 6.

Some of the skills to be taught during the training include UI/UX Design, Data Science and Digital Marketing.

“The goals of this initiative is to provide accessible and free training opportunities to equip residents with in-demand digital skills that can lead to better job prospects or entrepreneurial opportunities,” the post read in part.

Interested applicants were advised to call the telephone line 08068827243 for details.

At the time The Records filed this report, the helpline was reachable but there was no response. Other efforts to reach the Local Government for comment also proved abortive.

Skill acquisition trainings are common in Lagos state. In February, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu launched ‘Project Loud,’ a programme designed to boost technical and vocational education in the State.
