The chairman of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), Lagos State Chapter, Mojeed Iyiola, has disclosed that the state government’s maize palliative significantly benefited the industry leading to a drop in maize prices. The price of eggs had skyrocked on account of rising inflation that has impacted food prices in recent months.

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos have stressed the need for the party to give the governorship ticket to former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, insisting that he has the wherewithal to transform the state. The former Lagos helmsman has always held a special place in the heart of Lagosians as he had an impactful four-year stint as governor of the State before he was denied a return ticket on account of a dispute with the National Leader of the APC now President Bola Tinubu.

The Lagos State Government has announced the commencement of the applications for the 2024/2025 Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy Cohort, noting that the application is open to all Nigerians possessing two years of work experience, between 25 to 35 years old and having a minimum Bachelor’s Degree or HND with an NYSC or Exemption Certificate.

The Record reports that a Boeing 737-700 aircraft belonging to Arik Air made an air return on Thursday, April 18, following the detection of an indication light suggesting a potential fire in the craft cargo area. An air return is a situation where an aircraft returns to land at the departure aerodrome without having initially planned to do so.

The Goethe Institut is proposing the inclusion of German language in school curriculum in Lagos State to foster relations and boost cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Germany. Senior German embassy officials met with officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, and Education to discuss modalities on the implementation of the proposal.
