Lagos Govt launches free registration drive for youth database

In line with the administration’s steadfast dedication to Social Inclusion, Gender Equality, and Youth Engagement, the Lagos State government has announced a free registration exercise for the youth database in Lagos State.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Youth and Social Development and the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA), which aims to empower the youth by providing them with recognition, support, and opportunities.

The Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, alongside the Ministry, is spearheading the establishment of a comprehensive database of youth residents in Lagos State.

“This database will serve as a crucial tool in ensuring that our youth are not only recognized but also provided with the support and opportunities they deserve. By registering, you are opening doors to a multitude of programs and initiatives offered by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development,” Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner of the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources disclosed via his official X account on Friday.

Registration for the database is scheduled to take place from Monday, 25th of March to Tuesday, 2nd of April, 2024, between 9 am and 4 pm daily, at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.
