The federal government has said that the demolition of buildings on the right of way of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road will commence on Saturday, April 27.
This was disclosed on Thursday, April 25, by Korede Keisha, the federal controller of works in Lagos state.
In her press briefing on Thursday, Keisha urged owners of houses marked for demolition to come to the secretariat in Lagos to sort out whatever process was required by the ministry.
She said the demolition squad would move in on Saturday to begin the removal of the affected structures for the first three kilometres along the road.
Keisha said that the President Tinubu-led government is out for action and has no time to waste, especially in the area of infrastructure.
