Juvenile inmates at a correctional centre for boys in Oregun now have access to a junior secondary education program.
The program was launched this week by the Centre for Legal Support and Inmates Rehabilitation in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development, TVC News reported.
According to a retired judge of the Lagos High Court, Sherifat Solebo, who spoke at the event launch, the laws in Lagos provide that the government must provide basic education up to the junior secondary school level.
