Dutch football coach Lodewijk de Kruif, known for his success with Heartland FC of Owerri, has arrived in Lagos for a two-day talent scouting mission. Kruif, who led the club to back-to-back FA Cup victories in 2011 and 2012, is partnering with Chymastiq Stars FC Academy, led by football enthusiast Uche Chima Victor, to discover emerging Nigerian talent.
“Nigeria is blessed with talents, and we hope to find the next Osimhens and Lookmans,” Kruif said. He further emphasised on the importance of the project in uncovering top players. Having previously scouted in Ghana and Benin, Kruif’s mission in Nigeria marks another step in his ongoing efforts to guide African players to success in Europe.
