Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Abou Nolla, the Baba Adini of Lagos and the Chairman of the Executive Council of Lagos Central Mosque, has passed away.
According to reports gathered, the demise occurred on Tuesday, 9 January 2024, following a brief illness attributed to age-related health issues.
A janazah prayer for the Islamic cleric is scheduled at the Lagos Central Mosque, Lagos Island, on Wednesday, 10 January 2024. Subsequently, his remains will be laid to rest.
President Bola Tinubu expressed condolences to Baba Adini’s family, the Muslim community in Lagos, and the Lagos State Government over the loss. The President’s heartfelt message was conveyed through a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
