From November 1, Air Peace will raise its one-way flight fare from Lagos to Abuja to N200,000, Punch Newspaper reported.
Airline fares have surged amid Nigeria’s economic challenges, with Air Peace leading the hike. Passengers have reported difficulty securing seats on popular routes, with many left stranded at airports.
An unnamed Air Peace official cited high operational costs and government taxes as reasons for the fare increase.
Other airlines are also increasing prices, with Aero charging between N94,000 and N109,000, Arik Air ranging from N104,405 to N139,292, and Ibom Air between N124,000 and N133,000, according to Punch Newspapers’ investigations.
