The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) has announced a temporary water shortage in Alexander, Bourdillon, and Park View areas of Ikoyi from November 18 to 23 due to rehabilitation work at the Alexander Mini Waterworks.
Access to potable water is a problem across Lagos. However, the state government has demonstrated a desire to improve water access. Recently, the government secured a five-year grant from the American international development agency, USAID, to improve water infrastructure across the state.
In its Monday statement, LWC chief, Engr. Mukhtaar Tijani, also announced that water production has resumed at the Iju and Adiyan treatment plants after the completion of the first phase of their rehabilitation project.
“We remain committed to providing reliable water services to Lagos residents,” Tijani said.
