According to the new schedule posted on Tuesday via its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the NRC said trains will now depart from Lagos at 7:45am, 1:40pm, and 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
For those traveling from Ibadan, departure times are set for 8:00am, 10:50am, and 4:30pm on the same Weekend day.
The NRC noted that its Sunday-to-Thursday schedule remains unchanged with trains leaving at 8am and 4pm.
The train service has proven to be popular among commuters plying the Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan route.
It was launched in December 2020 during the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
