Governor Sanwo-Olu has emphasised the state’s focus on creating jobs and curbing inflation by equipping artisans with essential skills.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony for artisans and tradesmen, the governor highlighted the government’s goal of reducing unemployment through training and financial support.
According to him, “The Up-skilling of Artisans and Tradesmen training aims to provide artisans with crucial technical and entrepreneurial skills, improving their efficiency and productivity, and enabling them to compete effectively in the marketplace.”
“Your skills make Lagos thrive,” he said, adding that over 7,400 individuals have been trained under his administration. Alongside upskilling, the government raised the annual subvention for the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans to N15 million and provided a new bus to support the trades community.
