The Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called on the federal government to roll back recent increases in fuel and electricity prices, which they say have deepened economic hardship for Nigerians.
Speaking on behalf of the association, NBA Ikeja chairman Oluwaseyi Olawumi urged the government to reconsider policies that, in his view, “engender hunger and insecurity.”
The NBA Ikeja’s appeal reflects mounting public concern over the rising cost of living, as Nigerians face the effects of inflation and higher utility costs.
The association is pressing for a “cessation of all anti-people policies” to help ease the financial strain on citizens.
