Emmanuel Olotu Ojo, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), represents Ifako-Ijaye 2 Constituency in the 10th Lagos State House of Assembly.
He was first elected as a member of the House in 2023.
Early life
Mr. Olotu was born in 1969. He holds a bachelors of science degree in Chemistry.
Political career
Before becoming a legislator, Mr. Olotu served as a councilor in Ojokoro local council development area. During his campaign for the House seat, Mr. Olotu promised to run an open and inclusive regime as a lawmaker.
Legislative work
Mr. Olotu currently serves as the chairman of the House committee on agriculture. He has actively engaged with his constituency through town hall meetings and other efforts to address local issues.
In February 2024, he visited the Ojokoro Local Council Development Area in Lagos, where he expressed concern for the victims of a fire outbreak and commended the emergency responders for their swift actions.
Olotu also participated in unveiling the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems’ proposed programs and projects for 2024 as part of a broader stakeholder initiative on food systems.
