The state government said it plans to help relocate residents of over 15 distressed buildings in Iponri Housing Estate, Surulere, following a two-week evacuation order issued by its building control agency, LASBCA. “This is a move that will help cushion the effect of the eviction on the affected residents,” LASBCA said in a statement.
The buildings were marked for demolition after they were assessed for structural damage.
