Students at the University of Lagos’s medical college are protesting a planned increase in hostel fees, the Cable reported. Under the new structure, MBBS/BDS students would pay N100,000 for a year, while B.Sc (non-medical) students would pay N80,000 for two semesters.
Students who already paid the previous rate of N65,000 were asked to make up the difference. “We want to understand why our fees have to increase,” one of the students protesting said.
