Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is set to present the 2025 Appropriation Bill, to the Lagos State House of Assembly today.
The proposed budget will outline key plans for continuity, resilience, and prosperity in Lagos, with a focus on critical areas like infrastructure, economic diversification, and institutional reforms. It is expected to surpass the N2.3 trillion allocated for 2024, signaling ambitious development goals for the state.
The budget is built around five pillars, including infrastructure sustainability and economic diversification, designed to drive progress in Africa’s largest city. Sanwo-Olu will highlight how the budget aligns with Lagos’ strategic vision for long-term growth and stability.
“The ‘Budget of Sustainability’ is a blueprint for continuity, resilience, and prosperity for Lagosians,” the commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said.
