A new solar street lighting initiative was launched in Kosofe Local Government Area last week, to improve visibility and safety along major trunk C roads, starting with Ogudu GRA and Ojota.
The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe announced this on his official X page (formerly Twitter).
The initial roads to benefit from the initiative include Muri Folami Street, Ogudu GRA, Hakeem Ajala Street, Ogudu GRA, Ajoke Ogunlewe Close, Ogudu GRA, Ade Ajayi Street, Ogudu GRA, Salaudeen Akano Street, Ogudu GRA, Roju Avenue, Ojota.
“The initiative is expected to provide safer and better-lit environments for residents and road users,” Ogunlewe said.
He also stated that the project would expand to other wards in Kosofe as part of the continuous efforts to improve infrastructure and development in Kosofe.
