The Lagos State Government has debunked insinuations that it is at loggerheads with a global ride-hailing platform over its API. The government noted that the state government was only interested in resolving issues relating to compliance with necessary background checks, vehicle inspections, and driver licensing requirements. This will significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized or unqualified individuals operating as drivers, enhancing the overall safety and trustworthiness of the e-hailing platforms, the government said.

- FG kickstarts national palliative programme in Lagos
The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment through the Bank of Industry has initiated a food intervention programme in Lagos State, to mitigate challenges faced by Nigerians in the wake of rising inflation . The programme was designed to support the vulnerable population and would extend across the 36 states and the FCT, giving Nigerians a chance to buy food at discounted prices.
