The Lagos state police has revealed that it has arrested three suspects for stealing two phones from accident victims on Governor’s Road in Alausa.
This was disclosed in a statement issued via the Lagos State Police Command II official X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday.
“The three suspects who were close to the scene when the accident happened, rather than assist the driver and the occupants out of the badly damaged vehicle, were ransacking the victims’ pockets and vehicle,” the statement said.
RRS operatives patrolling the area at the time of the theft pursued the suspects, recovered two iPhones, and brought the trio into custody.
Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Shola Jejeloye further shared in the statement that the operatives assisted the victims to the hospital and also removed the vehicle from obstruction.
