Operatives of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad on Thursday apprehended five robbery suspects under Agege Under Bridge.
The suspects, Akeem Alabi (30), Toba Bolu (20), Abah Abdullahi (35), Sulaiman Mohammed (32), and Yusuf Alabi (30), were arrested for harassing and robbing passersby of their valuables.
Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, shared this information on Friday. He highlighted that the police acted on credible intelligence from residents.
“Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has stated that there would be more sting operations in the area to eliminate robbery incidents. The Commander, acting on the directives of the Commissioner of Police CP Adegoke Fayoade, has directed that the suspects be charged to court immediately,” he wrote in a tweet.
