Lagos seals over 300 facilities for noise pollution

 

The state’s environmental protection agency (LASEPA), said it has shut down over 352 facilities, including religious houses, in the past year due to noise pollution and other environmental violations. Religious institutions account for the majority of noise-related infractions, according to LASEPA. The agency has been actively engaging religious leaders to ensure noise levels remain below 60 decibels during services.
