The Lagos State University (LASU) has secured accreditation for all 44 courses submitted by the university for the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise held between October and November 2023.
LASU’s vice-chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, made this announcement on Tuesday following her reception of the results of the accreditation exercise in a signed letter from NUC dated June 6 2024.
According to Prof. Olatunji-Bello, the result showed that 43 of the 44 courses assessed secured full accreditation with only one course – Computer Science Education, getting interim accreditation.
She added: “The result translates to about 99 per cent pass mark, which is another unprecedented record in the university’s recent history.
