The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has disclosed that the officials of the Agency, along with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, were present to handle a fuel tanker explosion which occurred earlier on Monday.
The tweet stated, “There’s a burning tanker at Ojota inward interchange. @LagosRescue and LASTMA officials are at the scene. Patience required from road users.”
The cause of the explosion and any casualties weren’t reported as at the time of filling this news story.
A user on X, Nene Aliemeke, also confirmed the incident, sharing, “I just witnessed an explosion very close to Ojota. I’ve never seen anything as scary as that.”
