Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert, has expressed profound sadness over the death of Hon. Dotun Olakanle, the erstwhile executive chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, who died after a brief illness on November 2, 2024.
The tragic event marks the second time a sitting council boss in Onigbongbo LCDA has died in office during his second term, following the death of Olakanle’s predecessor, Babatunde Oke, who succumbed to Covid-19 complications in August 2020.
In a condolence visit led by Permanent Secretary Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, Robert described Olakanle as “a gem” dedicated to the council’s development.
