Pointing fingers: A group, Progressive Youth Movement of Ikeja, has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, Sahara Reporters reported.

Illicit producers: The national drug enforcement agency, NAFDAC, said it has shut down an illegal production facility in Iba, for manufacturing unregistered cosmetic products.

Paid dues: The state transport authority, LAMATA, said it has paid compensation to tenants and business owners impacted by the ongoing development of the Quality Bus Corridor between Lawanson and Cele.

Yuletide celebration: After presenting the 2025 federal budget to the National Assembly, President Bola Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Wednesday for the Christmas and New Year holiday.

Metro watch: Motorists endured an interminable gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway after a truck driver died in a collision at the Kara Bridge section of the road, Punch Newspaper reported.

Tougher stance: The state traffic authority, LASTMA, said it will deploy stricter measures on traffic violators after the death of six persons in one week.

Religious tolerance: A banner at the Lekki Central Mosque claiming ‘Jesus Christ is not God’ went viral on social media and sparked intense discussions. A member of the mosque said the banner has been removed.
