Lagos State Attorney-General Lawal Pedro (SAN) has announced that no court case will last more than 24 months.
Speaking at a press briefing, he stated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved funds for the completion of the JIC Taylor Magistrate Court House and for 34 official flats for magistrates.
Pedro revealed that a bill for the Administration of Civil Justice Law (ACJL) has been sent to the House of Assembly to ensure trial court cases are resolved within 18 to 24 months, while tenancy disputes should last no more than six months.
He emphasised that this will prevent landlords from evicting tenants during ongoing litigation.
